General
By using this website or our services, you agree that you accept our terms and conditions, as well as your waiver of any claims against Saracen Studios or its contractors arising out of your use of our services or this website. You accept that any information offered within this website is advisory and that Saracen Studios accepts no responsibility for its accuracy. Any information offered though out this website may change from time to time. We make no representation, warranty or claim that any information available within this website is up to date or accurate. Saracen Studios reserves the right to change its prices and its terms and conditions without prior notice.
All our websites are designed to be compatible with all modern browsers and are optimised for viewing at a 1024 x 800 resolution but shall be usable at resolutions from 800 x 600 and upwards.
Web Design and Graphic Services
Any quotation given web design or graphic serviceswill be valid for a period of 30 days. A non-refundable 30% deposit will become due on acceptance of our quotation and shall be paid before any work commences. The remaining 70% will become due on completion of the service agreed to by contract. Any amounts owed shall be paid as soon as they become due. Late payment will incur a surcharge of 2% per month. Non payment after 28 days have passed will entitle Saracen Studios to terminate the contract and/or remove your website from service.
You agree to submit all content to be used on your website in electronic format before the agreed start date. No work will begin until all content has been submitted and any or all dates agreed of completion will become invalid.
If we have not received the content in electronic format within 1 month of the agreed start date, we will be entitled to terminate the contract.
You agree that any content you supply and is used in any design by Saracen Studios will not in any way be unlawful, misleading, abusive, offensive, prejudicial or is likely to expose us to claims, lead us into prosecution, criticism, disrepute or cause us embarrassment.
Intellectual Property Rights
You agree that you own the intellectual property rights of any content provided to Saracen Studios, or that the owner has given you permission to use the content and will allow Saracen Studios to use it on your behalf.
Once paid for in full, websites become the property of the client. However, you agree that only one copy of a website can be made available on the World Wide Web and that any stock photography provided by Saracen Studios remains our property (or the property of its respective owners) and shall not be used intentionally in any other design or reused outside of the website provided by Saracen Studios. If provided, any database query strings along with any ASP, PHP, Actionscript or CGI files will also remain the property of Saracen Studios and/or its sub contractors. You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, or exploit for any commercial purposes, any portion of the services or products provided by us. All files will be provided via e-mail and/or on CD.
Search Engine Optimisation
Prior to work being undertaken by Saracen Studios, we need assurances from the client that;
- The client has not employed the services of another Search Engine Optimisation Company to work on the web site at the same time
- The client has not employed the services of a Submission Company during the same period
- The client has not created any duplicate sites, duplicate content or pages, redirects or doorway pages
- The client has not requested or exchanged links with link farms or undertaken any spamming techniques which may harm the web site's ranking with Google
- Saracen Studios aim to achieve a Top 10 ranking on Google for all agreed keyphrases. Although the work we carry out will benefit positions on search engines other than Google, we consider Google the most important search engine and measure the success of a campaign by rankings achieved in Google.
Definition of results: 'A Top 10 ranking' means that your selected search term will be placed in the first 10 results on google.co.uk within the 11 months following the publishing of the optimized pages going live. Although Google's results are displayed on other search engines e.g. AOL, Yahoo etc the work that is carried out by Saracen Studios is solely aimed at increasing visibility and boosting ranking on Google. It is not possible to give a 100% guarantee for any specific result on any search engine, nor can we quantify the level of increased traffic or sales, as a result of the SEO campaign. Saracen Studios reserve the right to terminate your service at any time if it is suspected that the target web site (i.e. the web address optimised during the campaign) or web pages linked to, are involved in any practice deemed to be unethical or illegal by Saracen Studios. A ranking report will be emailed bi-monthly, to keep you informed of the site's progress in the search engines. Saracen Studios can accept no responsibility for the non-delivery of these reports due to issues with external mail delivery mechanisms.
Disclaimer: No guarantees can be given as to how long a site will retain its rankings, as search engines change their ranking algorithms on a regular basis. Additionally, new sites and potentially competitor web sites are being optimised and submitted every day. The best way to ensure that you maintain your rankings, once achieved, is to arrange for our monthly maintenance services.
Invoicing
Invoices will be sent via e-mail (unless otherwise requested) in word or pdf format (for which you will require a copy of Acrobat Reader. This software is available freely from http://www.adobe.co.uk/)
- Monthly maintenance invoices are sent via e-mail at the end of each month and should be paid in full within 5 working days. Late payment of any invoice will attract a fee of 3% of the total amount or £30, whichever is greater. Payment may be made by cheque, CHAPS or BACS.
Virus protection
Whilst we carry out regular virus checks on our systems and virus check every incoming and outgoing file, we make no warranties that files sent from Saracen Studios are free from virus infection and recommend you virus check all files received from us prior to opening or executing.
Client login area
The information contained within our client area has been written exclusively for our clients. It is your responsibility to keep your username and password secure and not to divulge them or any information contained within this area to any third party. Abuse of this free service will result in the banning of your use of the area. The information within this area is based on our opinions and experience and is provided as a resource only, we make no warranties of its accuracy and accept no responsibility for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with the use of or reliance on the content.

Saracen Studios may provide links to other websites which Saracen Studios has no control over. You agree that Saracen Studios is not responsible for the availability of such external websites, does not endorse and is not responsible or liable for any content, advertising, products, or other materials on or available from such sites or resources. You further acknowledge and agree that Saracen Studios shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on any such content.
